Who organized?

I will be in the Au Bon Pain wearing the blue wind breaker I have in my picture. Also you can call me on my cell (which i will email to everyone) when you get there.

Join us in our second meetup to attend the GREEK INDEPENDENCE PARADE. We will meet at Au Bon Pain at the Prudential Center to grabe food or coffee before. It's in Hynes Court near the entrance for the Sheraton Hotel. Au Bon Pain is location #15 on the MAP: For those of you that are not too familiar with the history of Greece and its Inependance we can have a discussion and explanation of the costumes and history before going to find a place to watch the parade. Following the Parade there will be food, live music and dancing in Boston Common. It will be a great time and a good introduction to learning Greek dance:)

Bring you cameras for pictures:) Also in case you are late or get lost I will email everyone my cell and I will be there a little earlier if you want to meetup for language practice or discussion. Again I'll be wearing my blue Athens 2004 wind breaker like I have in my picture and maybe I'll have a little greek flag with me. But look for my blue wind breaker and give me a call if you have trouble finding me. Bring others as well.

    •  It was fun, thanks Dionysis for putting it together
    •  This was my first Greek Parade in Boston and even though the weather wasn't that great. There was a good show of people at the parade. During the parade we stood in fron of this one Greeek "character who kept commenting on everything that was going by. Everything was "Zhto this and Zhto that... We will have pictures posted. This guy had a long curly mustache that you looked like cattle horns and wore a white cowboy hat with a Greek and US flag on either side. Plus he was wearing a toga made out of Greek flag:) He was you typical older Greek guy saying the "kolologia"..haha. After the parade we had some food at the Commons. I was pretty excited that they had a booth with "Fried dough" thinking that it might be loukoumades. But it was only fried dough:( The Greek dance troupes were cool to watch as well. We met up with Peter at the Four Seasons and 6 other friends of his at Rock Bottom. After grabbing coffee and ice cream we called it a day. Keep checking for posted pics for the event.
